Just shows how much the Michelin qualifiers are covering up the race tyre problems

What an absolutely consumate performance from Stoner. Consistently the fastest in every session, and setting new bench marks each time. Finally, with a few minutes to run in Qualifying, he bangs in a sticky B and sets an amazing 1:20.700. Truly astounding. We are witnessing a rare talent. Feel sorry for Vermuelen and De Puniet. Both consistently fast but cannot make use of a B Q like Stoner does, and get swamped by the Micelin men in the final moments. Still, CV has proved he's a fighter. But it looks to be a Stoner-Hayden-Rossi battle for the race, with CV adding spice as he comes through. Excellent!

Stoner 5 or consecutive laps in the mid 1.21's when everyone else at the same time was one second of his pace...... Amazing.
toseland 5th, that was super impressive i thought. hope he goes well for the race. de angelis crash was a bit nasty.
eurosport, i know ive said this alot before, never ever get Neil Hodgson back on the microphone again. that guy has nothing good to say at all, all he says is how he knows all these guys from years ago. He's like a male groupie! dont you see mate, you havent progressed!! face it, your slow now! go home!

CS! Impressive to be so far inside the 1:20s. It would be nice to see his practice log laid out

He wont need to be if Hayden knocks Stoner off at the first corner its Nickys home GP with front row start = remove brain insert red mist in to the first corner

well if rossi isn't quick/good enough to compete with stoner...then the rest of the field shouldnt be out there should they?
if ur gonna knock rossi for being second, then you might as well knock the rest of the field...what is it you stoner fans want to see every sunday...stoner doing 25+ laps on his own?
get a grip, rossi put in 110% to be as close to stoner as he is, and he could have been a lot further off, im sure plenty of people were expecting that...
rossi will come 2nd at worst here, he'll lost 5 points to stoner before the summer break giving him a 15 point lead in the championship..and 30 points over 3rd..
who knows what yam will come back with after the break or honda
I take that back stoners log just posted hi kiwi...

pffffft
Fiat Yamaha (46) started this track with no data, the race winner and "dominator" last year could only manage a .4 gap ahead of newcomers to the circuit, and lets not forget how much more power the ducati has over the yamaha which is where Rossi is losing out (last turn). You got to remember Rossi is starting next to Stoner this time, not having to fight from the third row! Lets see how the kid with the fastest bike performs when having to scrap it out with the current series leader and 7 times world champion.
Oh Danum, what do you mean rossi isnt quick enough anymore? Hes been eating away Stoners times all weekend dumbo

There aren't so many riders with 5 poles on a row...
Well Done Casey! According to Eurosport Rossi was offered a ride at Ducati, do not understand why he would knock that back. The chance to win the WC on three different makes of motorcyle, maybe he's a bit worried about the Melandri effect the Ducati can have on a good rider. Anyway if he did and Casey beat him the Rossi fans would be screaming favourtism by Ducati.
When the commentator asked Rossi in the post qualifying interview what his plan was to win the race tomorrow, Rossi joked "I start 30 seconds earlier". Light hearted Rossi as always, but i figure that would be about right.
