3 Ducati's in the top 5, way to go
ride of the warm up has to be Guintoli, a new star in the making

A whole bunch of Michelin Riders might wanna jump ship to Bridgestones this Race. And they were laughing at Valentino Rossi at the beginning of the this year. Even Marco Melandri is sailing up front. Looks like the podium will be occupied with the Red Caps.

do you not mean "The Desmo Club"
I wonder if Marco will still be a member at the end of the week ?

Yep, Bridgestone lock out. Edwards must be seething. Rossi is proof of this coz other Yams are nowhere. Come on Marco, can't wait.

It's just warmup, not the race.

You don't know what they're running in warmup, the Tech 3 guys save their softest Michelin for the race,
besides it was probably cooler this morning in warmup.

Not worried about Tech 3 yet - JT said yesterday they only had 2 of their softer race tyres to use - one of which he used in yesterdays qualy session to get the setup right before qualifiyers....so in this mornings warm up all they had was a worn softer tyre, or the rock hard other ones. I imagine it's the same with Edwards.

Hope Marco can come through a bit. Ant West's not having a good time :-(

Because James said it in a post qualifying interview (read FreQ's comment as well)
and I see no reason not to believe him

I see Toseland is in his usaully position. There is no excuse this weekend considering he knows the circuit. He is on a great bike but is obviously out of his depth. He just doesn't have the out and out speed as his win rate on top level machinery in WSB prove. He is the worst rookie this year on a bike that is better than Dovi and De'Angelis. He will finish outside the top 10 or crash.

He does know this track as he raced here in WSB. He also knew Donington and Assen and he was garbage there as well. As I said, he will finish outside the top ten or crash.

1)On planet earth morning is generally cooler than afternoon.
2)It is logical to save your best tyre for the race. (For logic see above)

So whilst it is not 100% to "know" this it would be a logical assumption. Even without interview comments.

Nick----He's also beat other rookies at tracks they've ridden and he's never seen before so what... it's hardly evidence to back your claim... All the michi riders will struggle to finish well.. I'll tell you what, if he finishes behind you, you win....

JT actually did better than expected at the tracks he'd never raced & has been disappointing at those he knew.
Shows it's sometimes better to start with a clean slate when on a new bike ... setup that 'normally' or 'used to' work often doesnt on a completely different bike.
