Rookie Andrea Dovizioso appeared a little star struck when he lined up alongside seven time world champion, and Italian legend, Valentino Rossi for a pre-season MotoGP photo shoot (pictured).
Surely this must be a joke. How anyone not be intimidated by the 7 times champion. How can Dovi even be considered for a world championship when he has not proven himself in the lower classes. I like so many other Rossi fans find comments by Dovi or an other rider to be a joke, anyone who challenges Rossi must be a cheat.

He sure showed Rossi at Laguna Seca this year...yeah right. All the rest of the riders at motoGP aspire to be like Rossi. But there is only one, and he deserves it.

This guy better learn to shut his mouth otherwise he'll just end up like Stoner the Moaner (loathed). If he keeps it up

Dovi is a great talent and I wish him all the best in MotoGP. A nice lad that shows respect to other riders. He deserves a better ride than he's had the last couple of seasons but things will come his way.
Slow dow, my Rossi loving chums!!! Dovi is not being aggressive or derogatory towards Valentino, nor any other rider in the pit lane. He's having a great season, and really deserves the HRC ride next year (unless they do the magical swap of Nicky for Marco). At the beginning of the season I tipped Dovi and de Angelis to make waves, and whilst Alex de Angelis is doing enough to keep his seat, he isn't wowing anyone. Good luck to Dovi- he's the next generation of Moto GP st*****

Not sure why that last word came out as asterix's... I only wrote 'star'. Too much censorship there, Crash.net...
Nevermind, roll on Brno!!!!

So Dovi has joined The Moaners? (Moaner, JT, DePuniet, Pedro). They should use their energy on track. But of course it must be sad to be driving in the Rossi years. Rossi have / will beat 3-4 GP generations.

Pedros Mum and Ozzie 46, have is missed something here, can't see anywhere in that article where Dovi is moaning, jeez, some of you guys really are uptight !!
I'm with Jon M on this one ( and i'm a Rossi fan, just not a blinkered one )
+1 to mr softy! Dovi´s Honda was way less powerful than the factory Aprilias and he was still competitive. Put him on the HRC-Honda and we´ll see some fine duels for the top! I would put him definitely above Pedrosa (Pedrosa can not fight, only gets away when its possible) and (at the moment his ego is damaged a bit) Lorenzo. Dovi is brave, tough, consistent and a fair player. Hard not to cheer for him.

Dovi had to endure tough tree seasons on a seriously inferior machinery, just to stay loyal to honda, and if he doesn't get the hrc ride next year it would be so unfair..

Dovi, Stoner,Pedrosa and lorenzo are the future of MotoGP.
If Michelin can supply tires to equal the Bridgstones and with Dovi firing on a factory Honda I can't wait for 2009 !
I didn't see any disrespect or moaning in the article, too many haters in here and not enough real MOTOGP/BIKE RACING fans !!
God forbid anyone to even mention Rossi's name with anything less than reverence.

I cannot see how Dovi is disrespecting Rossi - he had said to Rossi (when he was in 250's) "please stay in motogp until I get there as I want to beat you" lol. They are great friends and there is a lot of respect between them.
Dovi was my top rookie this year and he has proven me right !!! Go Dovi and go Rossi !

Really? Tsk.. Hardly news is it?
Any rider in any class wants to win a championship, so that means beating *everyone* most of the time ( Hayden not withstanding lol).
Some posters can't read. What's with the 'moaner' comparisons? No moaning that I could see by Dovi...
Please, learn to read folks!

I don't understand you people. How is he moaning? He's not complaining, not bad mouthing, nothing... He simply said he likes to race against the legend that is Rossi and hopes to be able to beat him. Didn't say Rossi sucked, didn't say he was better than him, in fact there was NOTHING BAD ABOUT HIS COMMENTS AT ALL. You lot need to back to school and re-learn how to read.

Interesting comment about having his sights on a works ride next year, will that be a Repsol Honda? Dovi and Dani in the same team, on the same bikes, cant wait.
