Having revived his season with back-to-back podiums in the last two MotoGP rounds, Chris Vermeulen is determined to maintain that momentum heading to Czech Republic and the Brno Autodromo circuit.
I hope for rain at brno like do before every race but it should be OK anyway . Good luck macgyver and capirex!!

i hope he does well 2, im a big supporter of all the smaller teams. its such a shame that more teams cant afford to stay in this class. at least now the suzukis can try to stay at the front instead of falling towards the back like they used all the time. whoever wins brno i hope its a close race like laguna seca.

Will Chris's improved form cancel the idea of bringing on Spies next year? Will 'Zuk consider adding a third bike?
Nevertheless, glad to see Vermeulen back on form and seeing Capirossi get back up to speed as well. It would be interesting to see them fight for top 5 spots. Wins would be a stretch if the top guys are in the race but lower podium spots can be possible.

He's going to choke, or they are not going to get him a good package that is competitive.

I saw Chris doing his laps at the Rizla Racing day at Assen last sunday, great entertainment and nice to see and hear a MotoGP bike up close again One of the nicest guys in the paddock.
With the turn in form by Chris V, it's not looking good for Spies at Suzuki. I did hear that one of the Honda satellite teams may be interested in Spies.

Chris better change his nationality to something European.
He is currently beating 6 world champions and his own team mate yet he has to prove himself every week - go figure.

I remember seeing him on the podium at Laguna Seca and Sachsenring but I thought there were only 2 guys (Rossi and Stoner) racing in Laguna Seca. Vermulen was so far behind that he was not there when Stoner dropped his bike. It was much better looking at Assen when Hayden had no gas and Edwards was there to snatch that podium away at the finish line. All the rest of the riders have to scrap it out for the bones. The race this year looks like it is dominated by Bridgestones. Boy I am sure a Bunch of the riders would like to follow Rossi's switch of tyres last year. I think Jorge Lorenzo's main problem is tyres right now. Chris Vermuluen is doing well with Bridgestones too. Good Job Chris
Chris is a class act, I don't think there's any truth to the rumour that Suzuki might let him go - they'd be mad to do such a thing. I hope he gets another podium at Brno.

Ducati have their eyes on Vermeulen,Stoner wants a good back up for next year and knows Chris from the old dirt track days and will put in a good word for him if Suzuki are silly enough not to sign him, there would be no trouble with Chris handing a Ducati his dirt track knowledge would be ideal for the beast,2 Aussie's in the same team could be interesting

Yarhoo Apparently you are right it is not Ducati WSBK that Chris has been talking too. As well the situation with Suzuki is not that Suzuki has the choice it is Chris saying either give me the equipment or I will look elsewhere. The bike has not been up to speed and reliability was laking as well at the start of the season which put him way behind the ball. He is the nicest bloke no doubt in Motogp (Colin is a close 2nd) but don't be fooled he has the hunger to win and if Suzuki don't deliever he will go to Ducati. He however I think would not go to a satelite team.Dovi is not a signed to the 2nd repsol ride yet neither is Nicky.

you guy really think Chris will go to Ducati and settle for playing second fiddle for Stoner???? are you guys serious "Stoner wants a good back up for next year and knows Chris from the old dirt track days and will put in a good word for him " what do you think its the neighborhood's football team? this is MotoGP... riders/teams want the best and will do the best to win. Chris is the No.1 man in Suzuki these days, wherever he goes he will become No.2 and I'm sure that's the last thing he wants,i hope he doesn't do what his stupid ex teammate did throwing his career down the drain and moving to Kawa just after starting to get results on the bike...
I have to disagree he wants to win. The Suzuki is not up to speed the ducati has the ability to win. Chris by no means is a Hopkins and I mean no disrespect to John but he needs a bike that is capable of winning the world championship and Chris will go from Suzuki. No matter what, Being number 1 means nothing to Chris unless it is the world championship. Bruno will see if the Suzuki is serious about keeping him otherwise he will definately move if he has the opportunity. He is already outperforming Capirossi and had 2 races that he had mechanical and tyre failure.I can tell you now that Chris does not play second fiddle but works as a team which is one reason Ducati want him.

Opps on my comment the No Matter what should not be there or it should read No Matter what number one means nothing to Chris
Chris might remain with Suzuki yet but only if they give him the equipment

R W do you remember what happened to Barros after beating Stoner in Italy??? do you think Chris wants to be told in what place to finish??? and that is if he can control the beast... Chris is more of a old school rider not like his countryman the high-tech racer...

Come on you don't really believe that do you, Stoner wasn't even the number one rider at that stage. I know a few members of the Ducati Team and that is total rubbish. Ducati and Stoner at this time of the year need a rider that can mix it with Pedrosa and Rossi. Saying that Capirossi beat stoner at sachering and won at Japan 4th last race and Stoner still had not won the championship. Total stupid argument that a team would try and handicap one of their own machines .yeah right.

I might add about Barros comment He said the same about Honda even though he won the last 2 of the last 4 grand prix in 2002 and finished 2nd and 3rd in the other 2 and then went to Yamaha and failed miserably and who replaced him Carlos Checa. He Bagged Honda something chronic that year against the equipment that Rossi was getting to the point that Honda pulled his ride in 2003.It was proven that Alex was getting newer gear then Vale . Vale did not get the same swing arm till mid next season as Typical honda did not want to risk new developments Again I will say Don't Believe all the rubbish you hear with the real facts.

R W so your saying that Barros and all the press are lying? don't you think that maybe the Ducati team made a mistake and they wont admit to it? do you really think that Silvan or Toni were a better choice???

If Vermeulen goes to Ducati,Ducati won't care a damn if Chris wins or Casey wins as long as the second rider finishes high in the placing, the rider wins the riders World Championship,Ducati want the Manufactures Championship so the closer the back up rider finishes whether it be Chris or Casey is what Ducati want to bank the manufactures points,at the moment it seems there is only one rider that can handle the beast, this kind of result does not help Showroom sales. Both Chris and Casey have enough respect for each other and are smart enough not to take each other out and will ride as a team which Aussie's are very good at,if Vermeulen cannot get a factory Ducati he won't go there.
Posted by yarhoo - Unregistered (106 days ago)
he won't go to a non factory machine. the only reason he joined suzuki is that it is a factory machine, winning bike or not, he wanted to have a say in the development. Since he got on board, suzuki progressed. John did not develop the suzi, it was chris' input that showed suzuki direction. john is a hard rider but cant develop the suzi (he cant develop the kwak either). chris have developed the ten kate honda (wsbk) and have valuable input in the suzi. however, suzi needs a motogp specialist to further refine the bike, hence loris.
IMO, the best bike developer is colin edwards. he can develop bikes that other rider can use. rossi's bike is not so suitable for the others.
