Casey Stoner needed just two qualifying tyres to put the seal on his pre-race dominance at Misano on Saturday, when the Ducati Marlboro star overcame a wrist injury to set his seventh consecutive pole position, a record in the (four-stroke) MotoGP era.
I am amazed at this guys consecutive Pole Positions and have to say I take my hats off. Unbelievable. The tweaks that Ducati give him every race weekend must surely be coming from F1 for sure. And for Stoner to keep it on rails on the track that they must be on the absolute limit Lean angleon the edge of the tires. They must have found that limit in Brno I guess.
can deal? well...that depends on the race outcome: if casey doesnt win - the statement will change and he wouldnt have dealt with the pain. obviously. the statement will change to: "i have been racing all these long years and I have never raced with that much pain shooting up MY arm. MINE, MINE..!! its all mine - arm, pain whatever

ive been away for the last 10 days riding, and saran i still bemused by your knowledge or lack of knowledge. i think you'l find those tweaks have come from the 07 engine, cause since they've put that back in hes had this run.
pole positions dont win championships
dont suppose theres been any hot anti-bbc banter happening since ive been away? i'd of hated to have missed any of that!

Your so right Gina, and what will you excuse be on Monday? Your wonder boy has just broken the rules on purpose, that makes him a cheat.
Well Folks whatever you say about Casey you have to admire his riding skills.. Nobody outhere rides a bike faster than him even when Casey beeing sick of with a injury in his hand.. I am glad he brought some action back in Motogp..
"I can deal with the pain" come on casey thats no way to talk about Mr.Rossi !!!!

Kees you might be right, but I think there should be one of the following corrections to your remark, make your pick:
1. Nobody rides a bike faster than him, sometimes. 2. Nobody rides a Ducati faster than him. 3. Nobody rides a bike faster than him when fast means close to falling. 4. Nobody rides a bike faster than him in practice&qualifying sessions. 5. Nobody rides a bike faster than him except some other riders, sometimes. 6. Nobody rides a bike faster than him except when someone is in front of him.
Given his current situation I think any one of the above is more correct than your own statement.
Kees:how dare you say somebody is better than Rossi at anything, get back to the land of peace

plymouth admirals!..I wonder how many mechanical parts of the original GP8 are left on the bike as it raced today? For sure regression testing had highlighted which GP7 bits worked better than GP8 bits. The first CS pole of 2008 came before the electronics upgrade but I suspect after mechanical upgrades(GP7 bits).

Maybe Stoner is, indeed, better than Rossi, only he hasn't proved that yet.
Rossi must be worried, as he just got fined for doing practice starts outside the official practice times.
Should be an interesting first lap, must guess is the Rossi with push past Stoner on the first lap, and block Stoner from passing. Stoner will see the Red mist and probable push a little too hard, beyond the capability of the advanced traction control , exceptional tyres and superior engine power of the Duke.
Go Chris Vermueulen

CS may finally have some help from the Ducati camp with Elias sitting right behind VR on the grid. Throw in RdP who was taken out by VR a few races ago and we may see an aggressive first corner but don't rule out DP on his fast starting Honda being first into the first turn.
The first lap could be exciting.

And before that? wasn't he then the fastest? And why didn't he win all those races? Why did he make those mistakes?
Stoner is, indeed very fast, maybe faster than Rossi but he hasn't turned himself to a better racer yet. A rider is a different thing from a racer.

And you should review all the last post races interviews with Vale they tell me just one story only : (Vale) I am happy to be on the first row because that's what needed to catch up with Casey...Can you feel it Jack?? I can't recall Casey saying in the last 8 races (or so) that he is happy to be on the first row because he need to catch up Vale!!!
I'm so glad there are so many EX World champions here to give there un bias options. I didn't know till today that it was so easy to ride a bike with a broken wrist. I'm guessing all of you have never had time off work due to being sick let alone a broken bone. Next you will be telling me it's easier to ride with a broken wrist as it helps you... Pifffffffff you lot are so one eyed here, it's kind of sad in away...
Jack I agree on you that the fastest man isn't always the race winner and I think that Valentino with all his experience at this high level is the better racer for now and that makes the difference now.. But casey is learning quickly..
