As bad as it gets for Kawasaki.

Kawasaki riders John Hopkins and Anthony West will start alongside each other at the back of the field in Sunday's San Marino Grand Prix.

Don't drink and drive ! The injury seems to be BS - looks like John had a few beers too much after an argument with his "just married" wife thursday night. He needed some sleep on friday - that is what insiders and rumours say ....

Here's a quote from Hopkins, found in Mark Neale's MotoGP documentary "Faster", talking about the paddock girls: "I just love the p**sy man!"

**** i have a new found respect for the hoppersan. When he came into 500's on the yam as gazzer maccas team mate he was really good the lean angles were amazing! but he has lost his way in leaving suzuki for kwak. Hope he sorts it out again as he could be a real front row contender with just that bit extra commitment. ...hey its easy to type that with a single malt whisky in my hand! maybe that extra commitment is hard...

agreed saltbush, its a damn shame though because when super shinya was riding for them the bike was taking shape and i do love the kwak brand so its disaspointing they haven't sorted it out. we need more competitive bikes in motogp thats for sure.

Layton:Kawasaki always had a reputation for building a good robust motor for their road bikes, handling has been a bit iffy, the MotoGp bike cannot be helping show room sales,at least poor Marco knows Kawasaki is a dog and that his team mate won't be putting it on pole

I still think Kawawakasaki should get rid of their GP project and funnel the funds into altering their GP bike for the road. Like the Desmo Duc but in the superbike price range. Keep that sexy styling, put some crazy paintwork...what a cash cow! They could recover their loss of MotoGP revenue in a week. Obviously nobody buys Kawasakis for their 'racing pedigree' anyway cos they are mucked at racing.

Also, imagine Westy, Hopper, Melandri or Tamada riding that beast in WSBK! Man i would crack a fatty

Maybe they should take a page out of the Suzuki "How to Design a Chassis for Motogp" book. Design the chassis for the Bridgestone tyres. Seems to have worked for Suzuki.

I haven't seen anyone mention lately how the entire Kawasaki MotoGP effort was removed lock stock and barrel from the German guys who were running the entire show so effectively. The entire team is now entirely run from Kawasaki in Japan - and the result has been a shift backwards at an alarming rate. Total and absolute sh1t.

Marco will sort it all out though ha ha ha ha!

It would be tragic if the only time we ever get to see Anthony West at work in 800 MotoGP was on this piece of crap, and John mate, you stuck with Suzuki waaay too long only to change to this!

I reckon he was on the beer trying to forget he had to ride this thing at the weekend again.

Italian Stallion - comment from Julian Ryder on Soup:

The second question everyone is asking is "Why isn't John Hopkins riding?" The official answer is that he is very sore and has a damaged rib, which is why he didn't test at Brno.

The third question everyone is asking is "Does the absence of John's wife have anything to do with his not riding?".

If someone thinks ******* and drinking is more important than racing he should not be a motoGP rider
