Jorge Lorenzo finished on the podium in a wet race for the very first time in his entire racing career on Sunday, when he claimed third place at the inaugural Indianapolis Grand Prix.
I knew you can scored a podium, you're truly the future champion of motogp, no doubt!!

I love Jorge.
Next year with hopefully equal tyre equipment (preferably a competitive michelin rather than just everyone on the 'stones) and him being totally fit again, we could be in for an epic 4 way battle between him, Rossi, Stoner and Pedrosa. Add in a rejuvenated Nicky and I'm really hoping for a classic season.

I like Jorge too.. he is learning and developing and withstanding all the difficult periods with great maturity and mental strength..all great predispositions to get better next year and future years. easy to watch natural riding style and elegant at same time..very good for Yamaha and as Rossi's team mate...

I don't like Jorge..... his ego and arrogance annoy me..... but theres no doubt he's something special, who wouldn't bet on him for 2009?

Just like Rossi's arrogance and ego shone through when he came into 500's/MotoGP!
I hope Jorge kicks Vale's **** in 2009!
GO JORGE!

It's too bad the red flag rules took 2nd away from him. He reeled Hayden in over a period of 2-3 laps and then within two turns of passing him out came the flags and it was back to 3rd on the podium.
Could have been worse though, the red flag reversion (to the last lap completed by the entire field) actually changed the winner of the 125cc race.

Rossi doesn't come across as arrogant to me.....more confident...... Although i'm not Rossi's biggest fan either. I guess I prefer the quieter, underdog type. Toseland, Dovi and Nicky for me.... But the world would be very dull if everyone was the same, and what would we all argue about then?

Gaz - you just may get your whish. Jorge is certainly somebody to look out for in 2009. But that also means he will most certainly destroy Casey (and Dani in the process) I know its way too early, but me thinks there may be an epic team battle for the WC next year (and yes, I mean team Yamaha)

Yehhh, sure.... Rossi fans love Jorge....for now!! we shell see if they love him it he "dare" beating him too often....
How refreshing to see Jorge not bitching and whinging about Michelins, but actually giving them encouragement. I think Jorge will push Rossi all the way next season if his tyres are right, he is raw but fast, just like Rossi in 2000.

Turn off Yamaha's obviously supreme TC and see how he goes, rubber side up in a big hurry.
Mind you he's still managed to highside the bike several times with all of the electronics so that deserves a bit of a medal!
I am a huge fan of Vale and also Lorenzo... this wont change when/if Lorenzo starts beating Rossi to world titles. I think it will create one of the bext teams of all time... what more could be asked for than 2 of the best on 2 identical bikes! If hes up for takign the title away from Rossi then best of luck to him!
He may have been to eager too soon, but Lorenzo definitely has the potential to be a champ and the personality that will attract fans (like Rossi). I'm all for making Moto GP more exciting. Can't wait til 09.

Like them or not, Loonie Lorenzo riding is the best thing that happened to MotoGp since Rossi.
I recon he'll surpass Rossi where he failed, he will be world champ, several times and then he will move to some other form of motorsport.

I agree... Lorenzo seems to have nature Rossi's like skill, but a little wild and seems to be impatient to counters when somebody pass him, it just a matter of time before he get mature on this. Can't wait to see him battling with Rossi....
