Scot confirms Takahashi to MotoGP.

Shortly after the conclusion of Friday's track action in Japan, it was officially confirmed that Team Scot will field Yuki Takahashi on Honda RC212V machinery in MotoGP next season.

Another midfield runner at best then, fantastic.

Pretty soon midfield will be a top five finish.

I don't mind these "nearly" riders getting gp rides for 1 year, sometimes they just click with the bike (Stoner wasn't an exeptional 125/250 rider but it all works on a motogp bike). The problem comes when when they don't perform and then the sponsorship money keeps them there!

Takahashi has turned in performances way batter than his bike should allow this year. I think he may well merit a GP ride, he certainly deserves some credit from Honda.

Of course they're gonna want to field a Japanese rider.
