Stoner seals MotoGP qualifying award.

Casey Stoner may have lost the chance to defend his MotoGP title, but the Ducati star's raw speed is beyond doubt and the Australian secured the 2008 'MotoGP Best Qualifier' award, two rounds early, with a hard earned home pole position at Phillip Island on Saturday.

Marco had a crash when riding slowly and upright???????????? For gawds sake, lad, go to Kwak, get your confidence back, move to a competitive team and get back to winning races, we really want to see you up the front again, this is worse than not funny. You're too young to throw that talent away but blimey - everytime you throw a leg over that Duc it gets worse and worse...

shame his win ratio isnt similar to his pole ratio...

surely if his wrist is such a problem, he'll struggle to keep pace tomorrow?

thats if its as 'career threatening' as its been made out to be..

We already had Colin "Fast on Monday" Edwards... now we also have Crashey "Fast on Saturday" Moaner.

Yeah, I know I'll get a lot of disagree votes, but I don't care. I must rub it in the faces of those that claimed that Rossi was done.

Oh yeah. GO ROSSI! 8 TIMES WORLD CHAMPION AND 2008 WORLD CHAMPION WHO-HOOOOO

PS: I know i'm a class act.

jim you are right stoner has had 13 pole starts for his 14 wins and 14 fastest laps but im sure he would trade his pole starts for another championship. but if you are to lose your crown i dont think there is any shame in losing it to rossi.

NESUBRA - that isn't Marco on the 17th placed Ducati, it's my gran!

She's been drafted in as a last minute replacment as Marco was too much of an embarassment.

Well its nice for Stoner to be best at something. At least this year isn't a complete right off for him. I suspect he will give the beemer to Mrs Stoner.

why have Ducati let Melandri ride the bike all season ? I would have put Melandri out of his misery mid season and got gibbers on the other bike - he couldn't of done any worse
