These are the first pictures of Suzuki's new 800cc MotoGP machine, which made its public debut in the hands of factory development rider Nobuatsu Aoki during testing at Motegi earlier this week.

Suzuki released no official information on the machine, which will be ridden by existing factory riders John Hopkins and Chris Vermeulen in the 2007 world championship, but former grand prix star Aoki lapped in a time around two-seconds slower than the best 990cc race lap by Hopkins during the Japanese Grand Prix. Hopkins and Vermeulen are expected to ride the 800 for the first time after the season-ending Valencian Grand Prix, on October 29.

The appearance of the new Suzuki, which retains a V4 engine, means that Kawasaki is now the only factory still to publicly reveal an early version of its 800cc racer - hampering Team Green's efforts to keep hold of Shinya Nakano.
