Michelin may have lost its first 500cc/MotoGP World Championship since 1991 this season but, if this advert is anything to go by (click to enlarge), the French brand is determined to win back the crown.

"We hate losing, but we love competition! Just wait for 2008, 2009..." warns the advert.

Casey Stoner, Ducati and Bridgestone clinched the 2007 MotoGP World Championship, while five times MotoGP world champion Valentino Rossi will switch from Michelin to Bridgestone tyres next season.

Repsol Honda team-mates Dani Pedrosa and Nicky Hayden, plus Rossi's new Yamaha team-mate Jorge Lorenzo, will thus be Michelin's only factory riders in 2008.
