Spaniard slams into the back of the Italian during second free practice for the season-opening Qatar Grand Prix night race.

As if Dani Pedrosa didn't have enough problems - with a still healing fractured hand and two different bikes to evaluate during this weekend's Qatar Grand Prix - the 2007 MotoGP World Championship runner-up has slammed bizarrely into the back of Valentino Rossi's Fiat Yamaha on the exit of a fast right hander during Friday night's second free practice session.

Rossi didn't seem to visibly shut off, but the speed difference between the pair was considerable and the young Spaniard was left raising his hands in disbelief after being thrown from his RCV and rolling violently to a halt.

Rossi looked back after the collision, but was able to continue without problem.

20 minutes of the second free practice session remain, with Rossi and Pedrosa both currently ranked at the lower end of the top ten.
