MotoGP » Toseland keen to just 'get on with it'.

Tuesday, 24th June 2008

With a bruised - but not broken - hand, James Toseland wants to forget his performance at Donington Park with a good run at Assen.

James Toseland is prepared to shrug off his disappointing home event by targeting a strong result at this weekend's Dutch Grand Prix at Assen.

Toseland's first home appearance as a MotoGP rider at Donington Park went from bad to worse when he took a tumble at the first bend and ended any hopes of a charge through the field.

Even worse, Toseland hurt his hand and now has little time to regain his composure as he skips across the North Sea for the ninth round of the season in the Netherlands.

Nonetheless, the Brit, who has the dubious honour of being the only rider inside the top 13 yet to record a top five finish, is confident he can put his British Grand Prix flop behind him with a return to form on the Tech 3 Yamaha.

“The hand is bruised but not broken and I've just got to pick myself up and get on with it,” he said, “starting with that first practice on Thursday morning.”
