After a disappointing time at last Sunday's 125cc British Grand Prix, Simone Corsi and Bradley Smith made an excellent start to the Dutch TT weekend by claiming first and second places in Thursday's first qualifying session.

Corsi, now 23 points behind title rival Mike di Meglio, lapped 0.340secs quicker than Smith, who put his Polaris World Aprilia back up front after a forgettable home grand prix.

Joan Olive holds a provisional third on the grid, with di Meglio fourth.
