James Toseland aims to get his debut MotoGP season back on track with a strong performance in this weekend's Czech Republic Grand Prix, the first round after the summer break.

After repeatedly impressing during the first seven rounds, Toseland's results dropped away at the next four events leading up to the summer break but, having turned his title winning 2007 World Superbike season around at Brno (pictured), the 27-year-old Englishman is feeling confident for this weekend's event.

Toseland, who finished first and second in WSBK at Brno last year, currently lies ninth in the MotoGP World Championship for Tech 3 Yamaha but good results in the final seven races could place him inside the top six.

"The two races at Brno last year were the turning point of my season and I have very fond memories of the track," said Toseland. "I've ridden there every year since the World Superbikes returned and it's certainly one of my favourite circuits. I'm really up for it on Sunday."

Toseland has finished in sixth place four times so far this season.
