Gresini Honda riders Toni Elias and Alex de Angelis regret time lost due to poor weather on day two of the Valencia test.

The second and final day of the Valencia post race test saw track running reduced to a minimum by poor weather conditions, a damp morning being followed by a wet afternoon.

The increase in rain at least allowed full wets to be used in the closing hours but Gresini Honda's Alex de Angelis was among many to decide little could be gained due to the conditions.

"I'm unhappy with today weather conditions, because we had still a lot of work to do especially if we consider the new tyres, the new bike and the new team [members]," he said. "In fact there are still many aspects which we need to find a solution to; anyway we will try to find the right answers to our questions during the next tests in Jerez. In any case I will go home with positive feelings thanks to yesterday's good results and this makes me feel confident for the future."

de Angelis had been sixth fastest out of the 18 riders on track during day one, while new team-mate Toni Elias - returning to Gresini after a season at Alice Ducati - was one of seven riders to brave the weather on Tuesday.

The Spaniard, 13th fastest on Monday, set the sixth fastest Tuesday time - some 5.8sec off Nicky Hayden's pace.

"Unfortunately today we have been able to ride only 22 laps on track, anyway for us it was important to test to collect data even in wet conditions," said Toni. "I'm happy about these two day of testing because I could feel my first impressions riding both on dry and on wet conditions.

"Obviously there is still a lot of the work to do to improve even because today, having tested only for a hour, it has been difficult to find immediately the right solutions.

"Anyway I'm happy with the team and with the bike and I'm looking forward to the next tests in Jerez to continue the development of the bike and to keep on improving because this is only the beginning," he added.

Elias and de Angelis will be back on track at Jerez from November 26-27.
