Kyle Busch stretched his early season NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series points lead with victory in Friday night's rain-hit American Commercial Lines 200 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, his second win in three starts so far this year.
Maintaining his run of starting every race in each of NASCAR's top three series in 2008 Busch beat defending series champion Ron Hornaday Jr to the chequered flag following a late restart after bad weather temporarily halted proceedings.
Busch has now scored two wins and a second place finish in three NCTS starts and leads the championship standings by 72 points over Todd Bodine, who finished ninth on Friday.
Mike Skinner, who will make his Cup Series debut for
Red Bull Racing in Sunday's Kobalt Tools 500, finished third with Matt Crafton and Chad McCumbee rounding out the top five.
Travis Kvapil finished one lap down in 18th position while former
Formula One driver
Scott Speed ended up 27th in the 32-truck field.
