DLP HDTV officials have announced that they will extend their sponsorship of the #96 Hall of Fame Racing Toyota driven by J.J. Yeley for a further season.
Texas based firm DLP HDTV, which has been the primary sponsor on the #96 car since its debut on the Cup Series scene in 2006, will remain in that role through the 2009 season.
“We've been extremely pleased with our sponsorship of the #96 DLP HDTV Toyota,” said Dave Duncan, sponsorship-marketing manager for DLP Products and Texas Instruments. “We've seen a great return on our investment since 2006, including increased exposure, brand awareness and sales for the DLP brand.
“Jeff Moorad and Tom Garfinkel (co-owners of Hall of Fame Racing) have done a tremendous job building on the foundation created by Troy Aikman, Roger Staubach and Bill Saunders. Jeff and Tom have brought a lot of experience and expertise to the team, and we're excited to extend our relationship with them as they continue to build a first-class race team.”
Moorad and Garfinkel bought controlling interest in Hall of Fame Racing in August 2007 from the two former NFL players. The team finished 25th in owner points in 2007 with driver Tony Raines the highest finishing position for a single-car team.
“DLP HDTV is a first-class sponsor and great supporter of this sport,” Garfinkel said. “They've really been the foundation of this team from its inception. It's our goal to build long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships with our sponsors that provide them with tremendous value, and that's what we'll continue to focus on as we grow the organisation into the future. ”
