David Ragan continues his strong form with seventh fastest time alongside Matt Kenseth with Red Bull Racing's Mike Skinner (another go or go homer) and Kasey Kahne rounding out the top ten.

Martinsville winner Denny Hamlin will start 14th with Jeff Gordon 18th, Tony Stewart 24th and defending Samsung 500 winner Jeff Burton 35th.

In addition to Reutimann and Skinner, Sam Hornish Jr, Patrick Carpentier, Bill Elliott, Dave Blaney, John Andretti and Joe Nemechek also made it through the qualifying gauntlet with Dario Franchitti and Kyle Petty's stand-in Chad McCumbee among those who failed to qualify.
