Kyle Busch moved himself back to within striking distance of the Nationwide Series points lead with his second series victory in as many weeks in Friday night's Bashas Supermarkets 200.
Once again Busch dominated the 200-lap race around Phoenix's floodlit one-mile oval, leading more than two thirds of the 202 laps and successfully holding off defending series champion Carl Edwards in a green-white-chequered flag finish.
The win moves Busch back up to third in the overall points table and well within striking distance of current leader Clint Bowyer, who finished eighth on Friday.
Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harvick and David Ragan rounded out an all Cup driver top five with veteran Mike Bliss upholding Nationwide honours in sixth place.
Stephen Leicht, Bowyer, David Reutimann and David Stremme rounded out the top ten with Dario Franchitti just missing out on a well deserved top ten in eleventh place.
Australian driver Marcos Ambrose saw his stuttering sophomore season continue with a distant 17th place finish while the overall strength of the series was once again shown in a less than healthy light with more than half a dozen cars ‘parking' within the first 60 laps.
