None of the road course experts enjoyed a good day with Terry Labonte in 18th place being the happiest. Patrick Carpentier finished 24th while Ron Fellows was a victim of the Harvick/McMurray/Stewart incident and finished 29th. Papis finished a delayed 35th after his collision with Robby Gordon, who was left to claim 37th. In addition to Ambrose, Boris Said and Brian Simo also failed to finish as the regulars overcame the ringers once again.
