With the usual suspects on the podium the remainder of the top ten was a mix of new and old faces. Ian Lougher on the Stobart Honda was in fourth place, It was a hard race, I scared myself a few times. One lap would be great and then the next wouldn't be, I'd my feet off the pegs. Thanks to Paul Bird, the bike was fast but all over the place, I had to alter my style, I struggled really, he said.
Adrian Archibald was in fifth place and the only one of the Relentless Suzukis to finish the race as his team-mate Bruce Anstey went out with handling problems. Young Manx man Conor Cummins pulled in yet another top ten for his Millsport Yamaha team.
New comer Steve Plater rode to an excellent seventh place for his Optoma Loans Yamaha squad. He had been just ahead of fellow new comer Keith Amor who unfortunately had to retire when his bike wouldn't fire up again after the pit stop.
Michael Rutter on his return to the TT for the first time in seven years finally finished a race, coming home in eighth place on the Isilon Mss Discovery Kawasaki. Ian Armstrong riding for the Canteen Smithy Yamaha team was ninth and James McBride completed the top ten on his Superstock Yamaha.
