Gary Johnson aboard his Speedfreaks Yamaha made his TT debut at the Centenary event and made quite an impact by achieving a 12th place finish in the Superstock race and 16th in the Senior TT.

His team-mate James Edmeades made his return to the Isle of Man for the second time but was hampered during the week with a leg injury which will require an operation at the start of July. Despite that he finished all three of the tough TT races and is planning on returning next year.

Johnson is hoping that the TT will have raised his racing profile, “Back to it, hopefully I'll get a little bit noticed and be able to pull in something good for next year. Obviously I want to come back and I want to improve a lot, I want a Superbike as well to have a go on and put us in as a top ten contender.”

The Speedfreak Yamaha team can be seen in action this weekend at Mondello Park in Ireland for rounds six and seven of the Metzeler National Superstock Championship.
