Apex Motorsport to take GT3 Jaguar XKR to the Silverstone Classic.

Apex Motorsport's Jaguar XKR will be one of the more modern machines on display in the 2008 running of the Silverstone Classic this weekend.

The GT3 machine will take part in an on-track parade on Sunday to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the BRDC, with cars from each of the last eight decades taking part. The V8 Supercharged XKR will represent the current decade.

Ben Clucas will drive the car during the parade, which will also form part of a tribute to team boss Richard Lloyd and David Leslie, who died in a plane crash earlier this year.

“I feel honoured to be driving the Apex XKR in the parade,” Clucas said. “The team are working hard to ensure the success of this car, I think Richard Lloyd would be very proud of them.”
