BRC: Champion takes Trackrod, Higgins takes title.

On a day when a top 15 position would have been enough for the title, Mark Higgins put in a controlled drive before piling on the pressure to chase eventual rally winner Ryan Champion all the way to the end of the International Rally of Yorkshire.

Despite Mark Higgins having already wrapped the title up the battle for second is still a very closely fought battle with any one of eight drivers still in with a chance at taking the runner up spot.

The final round of the 2006 Tesco 99 Octane British Rally Championship is also the final round of the World Rally Championship, the Wales Rally GB which runs over the first weekend in December.
