Wilks, who had returned under SupeRally rules, was flying. Higgins appeared happy to just maintain his lead and cruised to the finish.
Second in the British Rally Championship went to David Higgins who was pleased with the S2000’s tarmac debut, whilst Phillip Morrow was third. A cruel puncture for Rob Swann had cost him fourth place points, missing out by 1 second to Darren Gass.
In the other classes Matt Beebe staged a giant killing performance in his MG ZR, coming home over 2 minutes ahead of Vessa Mikkola. The battle of the Citroens went the way of George Thomas after an event long battle with Jason Pritchard whilst Brian Dennis took Diesel honours, 2 minutes ahead of Fin McCauls’
BMW. Simon Hughes had led the class early on but mechanical problems had dropped the Vauxhall Astra driver down the order.
