The Stars category is well supported on the rally too, with this year’s event counting as a double header for the feeder category. Round one winner Mike Harris Junior will be hoping to put his recent mechanical problems behind him. Round two victor Mark Gamble suffered a crash last time out and is another one looking to get his championship back on track whilst Luke Pinder, who took victory on the Rally of the Midlands in his Ford KA will be hoping for a similar run this weekend.
Championship leader Matt Cotton is proving that you don’t need to be the quickest driver out there to lead the championship, and with three podiums in three rounds he will be looking to continue that run this weekend.
The 2007 Rally Isle of Man is a three day affair with the cars tackling four stages on Thursday night, including three runs around Castleltown. Friday consists of eleven more stages whilst Saturday plays host to a further seven stages including the sting in the tail. At almost 12 miles the Brandywell Classic, the last stage of the rally, is a real test of man and machine and ends the rally right back at the TT Grandstands last in the afternoon.
