2006 British Super 1600 champion, James Wozencroft was at the Castle Combe Rallyday 2007 last Saturday.
Crash.net Radio's Rob Wilkins caught up with the Suzuki Swift man to get his thoughts on that event and to discuss how his own season has been going...
Crash.net:
James, what have you made of the Rallyday so far?
James Wozencroft:
It is great fun. We have been really busy all morning. We have been in the two Swifts and going around the feature stage.
Crash.net:
Do you enjoy this kind of event?
JW:
Yeah, I love it. It is a great opportunity just to have some fun in the car. When we are actually competing and out on the stages it is always good fun too, but it is very, very serious. Today though, we are having a bit of a ‘cowboy’ as they say and we are on the handbrake and just showing off for the fans.
Crash.net:
How has your season been going so far, because you have been competing in the Tesco 99 Octane MSA British Rally Championship and the Irish Tarmac Championship?
JW:
It has been a bit of a mixed season. The Ulster was the last event for us and it was fantastic. We were first in our class in both the BRC and the Irish Tarmac Championship. On some of the other events though, it has been a bit up and down. We have had some really quick stage times and some great results, but we have also had some retirements too. As such we are middle of the table at the moment.
Crash.net:
What are you hoping to do in the remainder of the season?
