MT:
Our plans have always been to stabilise things and to start off with the right foundation. We started to do that from a sporting point of view and we have obviously got to allow that to stabilise. But our aspiration has always been to build a championship where people can view it from the outside and go 'it is great to compete in that championship because it is competitive' and also ‘I don't need to be a multi-millionaire to do that'. The championship also needs to give people the opportunity to progress and to move on in the sport. We are slowly starting to do that. We have cash prize money in every class - and obviously with the Pirelli Star Driver competition, that will launch somebody this next year into a fully funded packaged which is valued at over a quarter of a million UK pounds for 2009. It is all about not trying to run before you can walk and I think at the moment we are getting there.
Crash.net:
Rally GB has been apart of the BRC now for a few years, how is it going to be effected by this whole rotation system in the WRC?
MT:
I think, whilst I cannot say too much on behalf of Wales Rally GB, they are I believe at the moment confirmed in the World Rally Championship calendar for 2009. We stated three or four months ago now that we are reviewing the event line-up for 2009 and that is a process we are now going through. I can see a change. I won't say who is in and who is out. But certainly we have to keep the championship fresh. We have got to keep it alive and we have got to have the best of British. We have got to have the best events. We have certainly got the best drivers and the best cars. So that is what we are aiming for.
