Crash.net:
Who will be your main rivals in the Fiesta championships?
EE:
I think Alastair Fisher is coming back and he is bound to be quick. He finished one place ahead of us last year and so he will definitely be there and in contention. I am not sure who else will be out, but I am sure there will be plenty of stiff competition.
Crash.net:
How many competitors were in the Fiesta series last year?
EE:
I think there was about 26 registered and about seven or eight were consistently swapping fastest stage times. If we can have the same kind of competitive environment for 2008 I am sure it will be a brilliant championship.
Crash.net:
Last season was your first in the FSTUK championship and as we mentioned before you finished third overall. You had some very solid results - where do you go from here now?
EE:
We set out last year to learn the car and learn the events. It was very much a learning year. So this year, if we can finish third in a learning year, we have got to be heading for the top in 2008.
Crash.net:
From 2009, you should graduate to the BRC as part of GEMsport's three-year plan to get to the top. How much of a challenge will that be?
EE:
Definitely it will be a challenge, but we have to earn our place. Nothing is confirmed yet. We have got to behave ourselves in 2008 and make the best of the opportunity and then hopefully we can do enough to have another fantastic chance with GEMsport in 2009.
Crash.net:
Are any other additional events planned for this year, other than those in the Fiesta championships?
EE:
Not yet, but obviously we want to try and do as many events as possible. It is really important to have time in the car and the more we can do the better. We will be working flat-out to get as many events as possible this year. Nothing is on the cards yet but if an opportunity does come up we will be very grateful for it.
