"I like this event and after our test have confidence that we have the speed and the right set-up for the Yorkshire stages," says Guy Wilks.

"We had fantastic wins on the Pirelli and on the Manx. I made a mistake on the Jim Clark and we had some [mechanical] problems on the Ulster.

"The pressure is definitely on us and on the team to perform from now until the end of the year. We have the Trackrod coming up and a win is the only thing that will do really."

As for how preparations have gone for the fifth round in the BRC, Guy has been more than pleased with his pre-event tests.

"With my WRC campaign winding down this year I'm now 100 per cent set on the British Championship," he added in Mitsubishi's official pre-Rally Yorkshire press release.

"I like this event and after our test have confidence that we have the speed and the right set-up for the Yorkshire stages. It's good to be competing in a car that I know can win the event outright."
