Indian driver S D Roy is looking to end his British Rally Championship Stars 1400 Championship season on a high in the final round, the Tempest Stars Rally, next weekend
Milton Keynes-based Roy will be joined by co-driver Bradley Magnus, who competed with him for the first time on the Trackrod All-Stars Rally in October, in his 1400cc MG ZR for the 45-mile Aldershot gravel event.
Roy heads into the seventh and final round of the BRC Stars 1400 Championship in fourth place in the overall drivers' championship standings and in second place in the
FIA Class table following a consistent set of results this season.
Last time out the crew was sixth overall and third in class S1 in the Trackrod event, and with Roy finishing all but one round so far this year, he wants to make sure his campaign finishes on the best possible note.
“The aim is to put in a good finish on the Tempest,” he said. “Last year I did not finish the event and although I'm not really looking at the overall championship table anymore I want to round-off the season well.
“If I finish the year well it will give me more confidence for next year and I will have got more mileage under my belt. It would be nice to get a good overall finish in the class table but ending the season positively with a result is the top priority for me and I'm looking forward to it.”
