Dealer Team Suzuki's James Wozencroft has said that Wales Rally GB will be a tough one for his Swift Sport 1600 Group N2 car.

Wozencroft goes to the Welsh event, the final round in the 2007 Tesco 99 Octane MSA British Rally Championship, top in the Junior standings and second to his team-mate, Lorna Smith in the R2 championship.

The 2006 British Super 1600 champion is more than aware though that he will need to strike a balance over the three-day event, between pushing for a good finish and looking after his Swift.

"It is a very difficult one," he told Crash.net Radio at the pre-Rally GB press day earlier this month. "It is such a long event it will be hard on the car. We have got to think about getting the car to the finish because if we don't finish the rally then we won't win the championship.

"But at the same time we have got to push pretty hard to make sure we keep in front of the guys we are against," he added. "It is a tough one really."

Asked if his approach will be affected by the fact it counts as two scores for the BRC runners, Wozie conceded that it will influence his tactics.

"It does affect your tactics because it is two individual rallies now," he confirmed.

"Leg 1 is sort of its own event. You have to approach the first day as a short rally and then the last two days as a longer event," he continued. "It does completely change your approach."

As for the future, having got the chance to sub for Per-Gunnar Andersson in the FIA Junior Rally Championship back in August, when he did the Rallye Deutschland, James is eager now to try and get onto the world scene full-time.

"It is my aim to get into the Juniors over the next two years. I am working hard at it at the moment to try and get back in the Super 1600 next year, whether it is British championship or Juniors," he summed-up.
