“2007 has been a great year,” he added. “Rob has shown a major increase in pace and to finish 6th in the co driver's standings is really good. But it's also a little frustrating as we were heading our major rivals both times when we ran into problems this weekend.

“Wales Rally GB is always a tough event so it is great just to see the finish, but to come home 36th overall is very impressive!”
