Rob Swann will compete on the Red Kite Stages in mid-Wales this coming weekend, as part of his prep for the 2008 Tesco 99 Octane MSA British Rally Championship.
Swann, who finished fifth in the BRC standings last season, will drive a Subaru Impreza N12, however regular co-driver, Darren Garrod won't be calling the pace-notes. Instead Revolution Wheels general manager Warren McKiernan will return to hot-seat, having made his debut as a rally co-driver with Swann back in October on the Tempest Rally.
"Warren's business commitments mean that his time is very precious, but I intended to do the Red Kite as a pre-season warm up anyway," explained Swann.
"The fact that he can join me in the car again is brilliant."
Despite the fact they finished a highly respectable third overall on the Tempest and took the production class win, McKiernan remains cautious about their prospects and is keeping his feet firmly on the ground.
"I'm trying not to be lulled into a false sense of confidence," he explained.
"The Tempest went really well and although I like to think I played my part in our performance, at the end of the day Rob is a top class driver and it was a pleasure to accept his offer when he asked me to sit alongside him again this weekend."
