Revolution Wheels has followed up its deal with the Tesco 99 Octane MSA British Rally Championship by confirming that it will also 'support' the Pirelli National Gravel Rally Championship and the County Saab Scottish Rally Championship in 2008.
The arrangements are all part of Revolution Wheels bid to become the market leader in supplying rally wheels in the UK. The nature of the support for the GRC and the SRC will also include discounted prices to registered competitors, free wheels to a 'star' driver on each round and special prizes for marshals on every event.
Revolution Wheels sales director Warren McKiernan, himself an enthusiastic rally co-driver, said that he is determined to put something back into the sport.
"Rallying is not a cheap sport, so if we can offer competitors an affordable product that is both strong, durable, and yet light weight, then I'm sure everyone will be more than happy," he noted.
ANCRO spokesman Rick Smith and Scottish Rally Championship chairman, Campbell Roy meanwhile are both said to be pleased with the tie-ups for their respective series'.
"Revolution Wheels are part of the fabric of British Rallying, in my days of co-driving - some years ago - I always felt safe if my drivers' car had them fitted! So now it is even more pleasing to welcome Revolution to the Pirelli MSA Gravel Rally Championship, as a key support marketing partner," said Smith.
