“This was our first time doing the North Humberside and I don't think these forests like us too much,” said Harrold. “The roll was a bit alarming as the brakes just disappeared, but we were really lucky that damage was relatively minor. However after loosing the power steering I am totally exhausted.”
“That was my first ever roll,” added Sanford, “and I did the classic mistake of just undoing my belts and falling onto the roof!
“I'm just really glad we were able to carry on and get another finish. More points on the board and more importantly, another signature on our licences to help us upgrade for Wales Rally GB!”
The Sciotli Chocolates supported pairing eventually finished 51st overall but the points gathered now move them back up to third in the Production Clubman's Cup, and only 4 points off the leader, despite only contesting two of the three rallies so far this year.
With the car needing a fair bit of cosmetic and mechanical work down to re-fettle her it remains undecided when the next outing will be, but the pair aim to return to the championship before too long.
