He was also happy that Phillip Morrow was fourth in the sister Evo, a result which combined with Wilks' gives the Cirencester-based outfit the early lead in the teams' championship.

"I am delighted with the result," Brigden added. "The weekend went really well for the whole team and to come away with a win and fourth place - and leading the teams championship is a great start for us.

"What can you say about Guy? He drove a perfect rally. I must also praise the team for their work. It was another great job all-round.
