The organisers of the Quinton Stages Rally have announced that former World Rally Championship co-driver Nicky Grist will, once again, be supporting 'The Quinton Rally First' through his Nicky Grist Motorsports concern.
"The Quinton Rally First is a unique low-cost opportunity to experience the thrill of rallying on a budget," read a statement to the media.
"Competitors will tackle up to 45 miles of special stages in the classic mid-Wales forests, some of which will echo to the stars on Wales Rally GB in early December."
There are classes for 1.0 litre and 1400cc cars that require minimum modifications and competitors will receive:
- a reduced entry fee;
- free ‘Patterson route-notes' and Rallitrak radios;
- awards for winners in both classes;
- and a 'Star of the Day' award selected and presented by Nicky Grist himself.
Grist will also host a pre-event briefing during a free supper on the Friday evening, and he will be on hand during the event to help and advise competitors on a one-to-one basis.
The Quinton Rally First, forms part of the Quinton Stages Rally, which is based in Llandovery and takes place on Saturday July 5.
