The Atlas-TEG Sport Rally Team has confirmed that Mark Higgins will re-join the squad in time for the
Jim Clark International Rally at the end of this month, the second round in the 2008 Tesco 99 Octane MSA British Rally Championship.
Higgins, who competed on the Pirelli International Rally back in April in a Stobart Motorsport-branded MG Sport S2000 and who was in contention for the runners-up spot until his engine expired in SS10 of 14, replaces Patrik Flodin.
"We have parted company with Patrik," TEG Sport boss Stuart Newby confirmed to
Crash.net.
"But we hope to work together in the future and we are in talks about linking up again before the end of this season."
Higgins, who drove for the Lancashire-squad last year - when he finished second in the championship, is due to take in all the remaining rounds in the BRC with TEG Sport.
"From the beginning of the year we have kept in communication with Mark," Newby added.
"His situation has recently changed and we had a chat and now he is back with us."
Higgins, who has been in Italy the last few weeks - where he has been doing some stunt driving for the new James Bond film and the second featuring Daniel Craig as 007 - will upgrade to a new N14 Impreza during the season.
Wyn Humphries meanwhile stays on in the sister Atlas TEG Sport Subaru Impreza.
