MH:
We are looking at some IRC options at the moment and we'd like to do one or two or even three events. We are looking at Ypres, Russia and also the one in the Czech Republic. It will be great to get the MG Super 2000 Sport out again and do some more development with it. As I said before it is a really fun car to drive and I think on tarmac it will be fantastic.
Crash.net:
The IRC is looking quite promising isn't it?
MH:
Yeah. It is building very good momentum now. You only have to look at the cars - they are quite spectacular to watch and they sound good. I think it is gathering some momentum. It is a shame they want to put turbo chargers on the cars, because that would take away all the noise. I think they should try and keep them normally aspirated if they can for the world championship.
Crash.net:
What have you made of the WRC this year?
MH:
It has been very interesting. But when Sebastien [Loeb] has a clean run unfortunately he is still the boy. But Jari-Matti [Latvala] has been very impressive. It just needs a bit more spice back in it and I think once Subaru get their new car - and they have been showing a lot more speed this year with the old car - hopefully they can be up there. We just need more people in there fighting for it. The WRC still has great cars and great drivers and it is still a good championship.
Crash.net:
Final question, I know you have been involved with doing some stunt driving for the new James Bond film – 'Quantum of Solace'. Can you tell us anything about that?
MH:
I can't say a lot about that, but we have been involved with it. It has been a great experience and I am going back over there just before the
Jim Clark again to finish off. I have been doing a lot of driving out there. We have been out there in Italy for about seven weeks in total. It is something I have wanted to do for a while and to go in and do a James Bond film straight away is fantastic. We will have to see what happens in the future.
Crash.net:
Have you been giving Daniel Craig any acting tips?
MH:
[laughs] What do you think! No, no. I will pass on that one. We don't actually get to see many of the actors. We got to see Daniel once. But we are what they call ‘Unit 2' and we are doing all the stunt work and all the clever bits come in later on. It is very, very interesting.
Crash.net:
I assume you must be a 007 fan?
MH:
Yeah I am. I remember watching the first films as a kid. They are classics and to think I am involved with this one and I may actually be featured on the film as well, is great.
