Ireland's infamous Donegal Rally is next on the agenda for GEMsport as the successful new rally team continues its efforts in the FiestaSporting Trophy Ireland.
19-year-old Elfyn Evans currently leads the championship with two wins and a second place, with 18-year-old team-mate Meilyr Evans also turning heads with his impressive speed and maturity in the hustings.com Fiesta. He was an impressive third overall in the recent Rally of the Lakes.
Furthermore the team arrives in Ireland in a buoyant mood with Elfyn having recorded his best rally result to date on the recent Severn Valley Rally in Wales - a round of the FiestaSporting Trophy in the UK. He finished first in the championship and third overall in the Clubmans' section.
Elfyn and co-driver Gareth Roberts now lead both the Irish and UK series and are keen to maintain this lead on the Donegal Rally.
"The rallies have been coming thick and fast this year but we are really looking forward to Donegal," said Elfyn. "We are coming to the event with a good lead in the championship and obviously our main aim is to go away from here with a good result to ensure we keep this.
"Some of the roads used in this rally are classic Irish stages and with Alastair [Fisher] and my team-mate Meilyr [Evans] wanting a victory we know that it will not be an easy drive to victory.
"We have had no real chance to test apart from a few kilometres at the Chatsworth Rally Show [last weekend], but I need to be on the pace from the word go. We have eight high speed stages covering almost 120km of tight and twisty roads which are going to be a real challenge. I can't wait!"
Action gets underway in Donegal on Saturday morning with a full day of rallying on the agenda and podium finishes for both drivers is the aim.
"GEMsport is still just a few months old," added team boss Gwyndaf Evans. "But already we have shown our ability in picking two rising stars in the rallying world.
