The Revolution Wheels Rally Team heads to Europe next month to give lead driver Rob Swann a first ever taste of continental rallying.
When the organisers of the Tour of Flanders Rally invited team principal Warren McKiernan to bring his flagship car to Europe, it was an opportunity too good to miss, and Swann is particularly looking forward to trying his Subaru Impreza N14 out on the tricky tarmac roads that make up the event. After a trying couple of tarmac rallies in the British Rally Championship, the team is also keen to take advantage of the effort that Prodrive and Geoff Jones Motorsport have put into developing the car into a complete tarmac package.
"We can't deny that the last couple of rallies have been difficult," McKiernan admitted, "But, after our pre-Ulster test, Rob felt that the car was transformed and so, when we were offered the opportunity to add Flanders to our calendar, it seemed an ideal chance to take the car to Europe."
The Tour of Flanders takes place from the 12-14 September and is based in the city of Roeslare in Belgium, where it draws large numbers of British competitors and spectators every year.
