Kerr's World: Riding the rollercoaster.

Friday, 4th August 2006

It's not really much of a comfort knowing I wasn't to blame, as the end result is still the same.

I'm a little disappointed that we haven't produced the results we should have at this stage in the season. A big area we've looked at is obviously qualifying and we haven't got the best from our set-up when it comes to this. I had some power issues in Spa which really didn't help and, as a result, I spent most of my time racing trying to move up from the back of the field to a respectable finish as opposed to fighting it out at the sharp end.

We know that, as a team, we've just got to keep pushing forward and do the best to help ourselves so we can race at the front off the back of decent qualifying performances. Hopefully, we can get achieve this in Germany this weekend, and at least we arrive knowing we were fast at the Nurburgring in WSbR pre-season
testing back in April.

As a team, we were very competitive on that occasion and I was firmly in the top ten, which was encouraging. I'm looking forward to competing at the Nurburgring, as I love the layout, which has really got a bit of everything with the exception of a high-speed corner. It's a challenging circuit and, again, the importance of getting a good lap in qualifying can't be underestimated.
