Sten Pentus makes the leap up from Formula Renault to the World Series with Comtec Racing.

Comtec Racing will be back to full strength for the final round of the World Series by Renault after signing Sten Pentus to compete in Spain.

The Norfolk-based team, champions in 2006, were reduced to a single car for Marco Bonanomi at the previous round in Portugal when Pasquale di Sabatino was forced to pull out of the drive.

Nonetheless, Estonian racer Pentus will join the team to make his World Series debut ahead the season finale in Barcelona.

The 26-year-old comes to the series clutching a few scattered seasons of Formula Renault racing, most recently in the UK championship when he competed for CR Scuderia, finishing in 18th position overall.
