Co-ordinator's Report: Llandow.

Tuesday, 24th July 2007

Thank you to Llandow Kart Club and all their helpers for a very warm welcome. Every time we visit improvements have been made, and this was no exception. Fresh paint, added toilet facilities and the new bus stop to name a few.

Thank you to Llandow Kart Club and all their helpers for a very warm welcome. Every time we visit improvements have been made, and this was no exception. Fresh paint, added toilet facilities and the new bus stop to name a few.

We are now more than half way through the season and the majority of you seem to have settled into the regime of asking for a change in mechanics pass on the Saturday. Thank you.

It was a shame that we had to cut the number of laps in the heats due to such terrible weather, but the driving standard seems to have improved and most have learned their lesson from Shenington and drove according to the weather conditions. Well done.

The event of the weekend however seems to have been the corporate drive on Saturday evening. In all 60 drivers took part, just a shame it was red-flagged because of spectators running onto the track. Off-duty we all had a great time and are now in negotiations to repeat the experience at Genk and hopefully Wigan. So get in early and e-mail or telephone me with your teams, there will be a restricted number of karts available so the sooner the better.

There will be a repeat of a barbecue on Friday evening at Genk. This was very well attended last year as the circuit provided an excellent choice of food at a very reasonable price.

As there are two practice days at Genk, Thursday will be signing-on for one day only and Friday will be signing-on for the rest of the weekend. A provisional timetable will be available on the website.

If you know of any particular spares you will be needing, JKH has asked me to suggest that you pre-order whatever you require; that way he can guarantee having them.

See you all in sunny Belgium!

Debbie
