Clerk of the Course's Report: Llandow.

Tuesday, 24th July 2007

Llandow Kart Club should be congratulated on their continuing improvement plans, both on and off the circuit. The new final hairpin and the long final straight have made the final corner much more ‘racy’ and few incidents took place at what was once a notorious problem area.

It was a shame that Saturday’s weather didn’t last, but despite the poor weather conditions on Sunday morning the racing was excellent and the driving standards in very tricky conditions was very good. Thankfully the rain eased after lunch which was a blessing, but did leave drivers with ‘tricky’ wet/dry track conditions – again however all concerned did a great job in providing superb finals – thank you.

Cadet - With the exception of one or two indiscretions all heats and finals were conducted in superb fashion, driving standards were very good and some very close racing was witnessed.

Mini Max – Some competitive racing and a very good weekend; no major issues with driving standards.

JICA – No problems.

Junior Max – A full grid and some ‘hard’ racing; a couple of incidents but again overall driving standards were good.

Super ICC – Very fast and very exciting. James Mudd had a nasty off in heat one which brought out the reds, but thankfully he was only shaken after a heavy impact.
This produced the only red of the day. The remainder of the action was of a good standard with the exception of an incident in the final.

Nigel Edwards

Black Flags :-

Jnr Max – No 9 – Heat 11
Mini Max – No 19 – Heat 12
