Though Dalton would ultimately depose him, out-braking him into the hairpin before going on to drive a very defensive last lap to protect his position, second place a scant tenth of a second shy of victory was nevertheless an impressive result, and one that secured Lewis a close third position in the final season standings, out of some 26 drivers. I know I could have finished second in the championship too, but I also know I'm up there now. Ever since I've been with Ultimate I've had more confidence and motivation and been a bit quicker they always go that little bit further.
Last year I wasn't anywhere near these guys, so I was happy to be up there with them, and I know I can do the same again next year. The team have told me if I keep on pushing I can get a strong overall finish in Stars, which would be a big improvement compared to last year. I'm really looking forward to it.
