Ford has few potential winners. Stone Brothers Racing are again Ford’s top performers, however James Courtney and Russell Ingall probably don’t have the package to rival the top Holdens. TeamVodafone has been disappointing so far this year, so Craig Lowndes and Jamie Whincup will probably contend for a top five finish. Ford’s dark horses at Jim Beam Racing probably possess the best chance for Ford to take it to the top four cars, whilst Ford Performance Racing has been very unpredictable thus far.
If the Toll HSV and Holden Racing teams dominate this weekend, every other team can realistically be ruled out for the championship, and given their dominant pace so far this year, there doesn’t appear to be much of a challenge to do that.
