Craig Lowndes - TeamVodafone
“Today was quite frustrating. The first qualifying sector went to plan but we made some changes for the second sector which sent us the wrong way and we ran out of time to rectify them. I got a great start and made sure I stayed out of trouble early on. I got a few more in the pitstop and we maintained our pace throughout the race. The car balance is quite good we will just look for a bit more turn overnight.”
Steven Johnson – Jim Beam Racing
“The car was a lot better in race trim and was a definite improvement on qualifying but we still have a fair amount of work to do on car setup and handling. I had reasonable speed during the middle of the race when everyone else pitted and there was plenty of clear track for me to close the gap to the leading cars. My lap times during the middle of the race were also very close to race winner Mark Skaife’s times. We definitely had a good pit strategy and I’m now looking to move forward in tomorrow’s final two races.”
